Daniel McKenna Earns Work Comp Advisor Certification

Chula Vista, California (November 12, 2018)—Daniel McKenna, a Work Comp Specialist at CSS Insurance Services, LLC, located in Chula Vista, CA, recently earned the prestigious Certified WorkComp Advisor designation, conferred by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals. The Asheville, NC-based organization trains insurance professionals to locate costly errors in Workers’ Compensation coverage. “More than 50% of companies are paying too much for Workers’ Compensation,” says McKenna. “With this certification, I and my team now have the background and training to assist companies in gaining refunds and correcting what could become unnecessary, costly mistakes.”

Preston Diamond, president of the Institute of WorkComp Professionals (IWCP), says because Workers’ Compensation insurance differs from other types of insurance coverage, it is difficult to detect errors. “Unless the insurance agent has the necessary training to locate and correct the errors in Workers’ Compensation coverage, the problems may go undetected and cause business owners to pay higher premiums than required,” says Diamond.

The certification training provided by the Institute is essential in reviewing Workers’ Compensation insurance reports. Currently, there are over 300 insurance agencies nationwide that have staff members who have qualified for the Certified WorkComp Advisor designation. “It empowers me with the ability not only to spot errors, but also to work more effectively with insurance companies,” says McKenna. “Because of this training, I will be able to make sure my clients’
Workers’ Compensation records are completely accurate.”

Located in Asheville, North Carolina, the Institute of WorkComp Professionals trains and certifies professional insurance agents to help business owners fight overcharges caused by mistakes rampant in the Workers’ Compensation System. Certified WorkComp Advisors have saved business owners hundreds of thousands of dollars in Workers’ Compensation overcharges.
